A Blur
Things continue to be mostly fine. Except (come on, must there always be an “except”?) that Austin has had small amounts of blood in his urine for the past few days. This is not unusual with one of his chemo drugs, which is why they pump him full of fluids in the first place. But because he has only 25% percent the kidneys that you and I have, it is a cause for some concern. They’ve upped his fluids and, this is the really lousy part, revoked his few minutes of unhooked running, free from his pole. Most disappointing for the little man as that is always the highlight of the day. Somewhat disappointing for whoever has to take care of him too …
Friday’s evening run:
If you look closely enough at this one, you can see the great smile on his face.
Its so nice to see the pictures of Austin at the hospital…and even better that he’s a blur. I’m glad he has energy to BE a blur!
He is so fast I can’t even see him!
